Website Specification Example
This download is a sample of a site spec that I would use when giving my developers work. You would edit or add between these brackets <TEXT HERE>. It is very simple to use this specification to build your website.
The website specification includes things like the side navigation, top navigation, search terms, type of programming, thing that you want on your website for example if you want a shop, discussion forum or a picture gallery.
Our free website specification template will give you the option to add interactive features, log in sections, private areas and mailing lists. This website specification is a great example for someone who is new in web design. It will give you the basics to get started. Lots of us don't understand the programming side of the web design (ie the language that a website is written in), but do not worry about this because your website designer will be able to help you with this.
If there are things that you want to have built in later that may cost a lot, but you want them to be 'slotted in' later - then you will want to use the section that allows the developer to take into concideration further developments that will need to be added later - so it may alter the language or type of coding that they use.
